![]() At worst it just won't work properly, it's not going to break your computer or anything (and it won't affect your saved data from 5.0.12 or 5.1 either, as 5.3 puts the saved data in a different place). I can't comment on the stability of the 5.3 alpha releases but as far as I'm aware they are intended to be usable releases so they should be mostly stable. Windows and Mac users can get it from the GitHub release page (scroll down to the bottom and click on "Assets") but Linux users will need to compile it from source. This is currently the most recent release version of the "legacy" series, and it has some improvements and bug fixes that are missing from 5.0.12 and is perfectly stable despite the "beta" name. If you care about open-source vs non-open-source then 5.1 beta 2 is the best version to use (as 5.3 is not currently open-source). ![]()
